“How glorious the splendor of a human heart that trusts that it is loved!”
― Brennan Manning
I read this quote recently… “The desire of God’s heart is never condemnation, it’s always restoration.”
We all make mistakes… some large, some small… no one is perfect… not one! But if you’re like me… when I miss the mark… I feel horrible. I beat myself up, over and over… and over again. Soon I start to wonder… “how can God or anyone love me!” “How can God want to do anything with me?” It’s a horrible feeling… and, it’s not the truth.
Romans 5:8 – “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God loves us so much… He gave his life for us that we might obtain eternal salvation through the glorious, wondrous work of the cross! Is there no greater love than this?
Isaiah 41:10 – “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
God is always working on our behalf… calling unto us, drawing us into His loving embrace. It’s from this place that I am learning to trust in this, amazing… maybe thought of by some… reckless love of God. You are loved, I am loved.
Titus 3:4-6 – “But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior.”
May our heart’s resonate of this beautiful love today… and may it lead to lives being transformed… eternal transformation! We are loved…
Our fear doesn’t stand a chance… when we stand in God’s love!
Here’s a song about God’s goodness…
