The Occupation of Heaven

“Surely that which occupies the total time and energies of heaven must be a fitting
pattern for earth.” Paul E. Billheimer

My Father, Edward Allen Verheecke passed away on May 1st 1992. My mother Mary Ann Verheecke followed on September 30, 1993. The measure of hurt and loss are more than I can articulate. I think of them often and there have been many moments in life I yearned for their presence and counsel in life. I miss them so much!

As I read the quote noted above I thought of them, for surely… they know full well the wonder and beauty of worship in Heaven. In my heart… I see them with complete joy upon their faces as they participate in this wondrous occupation of heaven.

I don’t fully comprehend what that might be like, but I believe whenever we worship God in Spirit and in truth… we experience a glimpse of what that might be like.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. – 1 Corinthians 13:12

Today is another day experience another glimpse of this beautiful occupation of heaven… as we sing around His throne! May our lives be a song of worship today!

Take a moment to listen and worship…
